After Luka Doncic scored 42 points with 12 assists in the Lakers' 127-113 win over the Cavaliers on Tuesday, coach JJ Redick heaped major praise on his superstar for his performance in the month of March. "I think Luka has had as good of a month as anybody that I can remember in the modern NBA, at least since I've been part of it," Redick said. It was Doncic's third straight 40-point game, lifting his March scoring total to 600 points -- joining Michael Jordan in 1987 as the only players to reach the mark in March and one of only 10 players to score 600 points in any month. As dominant as Doncic was, so too were the Lakers, finishing the month with a 15-2 record. - ESPN.com
The Minnesota Timberwolves were missing five of their top seven players for most of their record-setting overtime rally to beat the Houston Rockets. They chose focus over frustration. With a game-closing 15-0 run, the Timberwolves came back from 13 points down for a 110-108 victory over the Rockets. No other NBA team has overcome an overtime deficit that big since the league began logging play-by-play details with the 1997-98 season. - AP via ESPN.com
The NBA's board of governors has approved a vote for the league to explore bids and applicants for expansion teams exclusively in Las Vegas and Seattle. All 30 owners voted in favor of exploring Las Vegas and Seattle expansion, sources told ESPN. A bidding process is expected to generate offers in the $7-10 billion range for each team, according to sources. Sources told ESPN last week that the league is targeting the 2028-29 season for the two expansion franchises to start playing. The vote starts the NBA's process of expanding to 32 teams. Multiple high-ranking officials have termed expansion as "when, not if." - ESPN.com
